Standard templates are free, on every tier. The ISO 19650/BS 1192 preset and the AIA/NCS-compatible and EPC-plant templates have always shipped in the app for everyone — but our pricing page, features table and license agreement all listed them as a Pro feature. The app was right and the paperwork was wrong, so we've fixed the paperwork rather than take anything away. They're yours on Free, Core and Pro.

• A refunded license now actually returns to Free. Our refund policy has always said it would; there was no mechanism behind that, so it didn't. There is now — see below.
• Core checks in about once a week. Previously Core never contacted us after activation. It now does, rarely, for one reason only: to learn whether the license has been refunded or revoked. It sends your license id and the random device code, and nothing else — never anything about your files.
• It can't lock you out. A Core license still never expires, and if the app can't reach us — offline, air-gapped, firewalled, or our server is down — it keeps working normally, indefinitely. The only thing that removes a license is an explicit answer from us saying it was refunded. We've written that commitment into the EULA (§5) and the Privacy Policy.

Open-source license notices now ship with the app. CADKeeper is built on hundreds of open-source components, and the licenses of every one of them — with the full license text — now install alongside the app as THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt. You can also read them at cadkeeper.com/licenses. They should always have been there; now they are.

• The license agreement shown by the installer is corrected and current — it now matches the EULA on this site exactly, including the two-device limit.
• No functional changes to the app. Update whenever it suits you.

Activation is simpler, and your license now works on two machines.

• Activate with your license ID. Paste the ID from your purchase email and CADKeeper does the rest — no license file to save and carry around. (The old file-based method is still there under “Trouble activating?”, and there's an offline path for machines with no internet.)
• Two devices per license — typically a workstation and a laptop. Moving your license to a new machine is self-serve from the License screen, at no charge, even if the old machine is dead or reimaged.
• The app version now shows in Settings → General.
