What CADKeeper is#

CADKeeper is operated by Trelawny Enterprises LLC (d/b/a CAD Keeper) (“we”, “us”, “our”). It is a standalone Windows desktop application that audits a folder of CAD files against a naming standard and batch-fixes their names and folder structure — working only on file metadata (names, paths, sizes, timestamps), without any CAD software installed. By downloading, installing, or using CADKeeper, you agree to these terms.

Your license, by tier#

CADKeeper is licensed, not sold. Subject to these terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app according to your tier:

• Free. The full crash-safe workflow — audit, batch rename and auto-fix, reversible change log, one-click rollback, custom rules, the cleared standard templates, and duplicate detection for DWG/DXF/PDF — with the apply capped at 10 files per run. No account, no payment, no expiry.
• Core. A one-time, perpetual license that lifts the Free cap: everything uncapped, for DWG, DXF, and PDF, with one active ruleset at a time. You own it — there is no subscription and no forced expiry. Core checks in with our license server rarely (at most about once a week) and only to learn whether the key has been refunded or revoked; it never expires, and it keeps working indefinitely if it can't reach us.
• Pro. A recurring subscription that adds the ongoing-value features (real-time folder watch, compliance audit-trail reports, XREF-impact checks, folder reorganization, AI-assisted rule and naming suggestions, and the full file-type breadth including RVT/IFC/STEP/DGN). Pro's first year includes a perpetual Core license (existing Core owners may instead add Pro at the lower renewal price). Pro validates and renews your license over the internet; if it lapses or is cancelled, you drop to Core, never to Free.

Refunds end your right to the paid tiers. When you take a full refund we revoke the license key, and the app returns to Free at its next check-in. Where it can't reach us to do that, you agree to stop using the paid tiers and remove the license from your devices (gear icon → License → Deactivate this device). See our Refund Policy.

Two devices per license. A paid license key may be active on up to two devices at a time — typically a workstation and a laptop — both belonging to the same person. You can move it between machines whenever you like, from the License screen in the app; there is no charge and no limit on doing so within reasonable use. Unless a separate written team or volume agreement says otherwise, a single key may not be shared across more than one person. The Free tier needs no key and has no device limit.

You keep full ownership of your files, your rulesets, and your change-log history. We claim no rights over any of them.

The authoritative, full software license — the one presented when you install the app — is our End User License Agreement. This section summarizes it; where the two overlap, the EULA controls the software license.

Restrictions#

You agree not to: resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute your license key or the software; share a single license across more devices or users than your tier permits; circumvent, disable, or tamper with the tier caps or the license validation/renewal mechanism; reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the licensing system; or use CADKeeper for any unlawful purpose.

Your files are your responsibility — keep backups#

CADKeeper renames and moves real engineering files, and file operations are inherently risky. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups. We strongly recommend running CADKeeper only on files you have backed up.

CADKeeper is designed to reduce that risk: every destructive operation is preceded by a dry-run preview you must explicitly approve, is recorded in a change log with full before-and-after paths, and is reversible via one-click rollback. These safeguards materially lower the chance of a bad outcome, but they do not eliminate it, and they do not replace your own backups. You bear final responsibility for your data.

Warranty disclaimer & limitation of liability#

CADKeeper is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that any rename, move, or rollback will produce a particular result.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trelawny Enterprises LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, files, profits, or business, arising out of or related to your use of CADKeeper. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the software will not exceed the amount paid for the Software in the 12 months before the claim (which, for Free-tier users, is zero).

Standards presets#

The custom rule builder and the standard templates we ship are available on every tier, Free included — they are not a paid feature. Named published-standard presets are added only once we have cleared them for commercial use; presets not yet cleared are rolled out over time. We make no representation that any preset is an official or certified implementation of the underlying published standard.

Purchases, subscriptions & billing#

At launch, Paddle acts as our Merchant of Record and handles checkout, payment, and billing under Paddle's Buyer Terms; your purchase is a contract with Paddle. Core is a one-time charge. Pro is a recurring subscription that renews automatically at the end of each billing period using your payment method on file; you can cancel anytime and keep Pro access through the end of the paid period, after which you revert to Core. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy together with Paddle's Refund Policy, and any statutory rights you have always apply.

Acceptable use#

You agree to use CADKeeper lawfully and not to use it to process files you have no right to modify, to interfere with the licensing or update systems, or to attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers or other users' licenses.

Trademarks & independence#

“AutoCAD,” “Revit,” “AIA,” “National CAD Standard,” “ISO,” and “BS” and all other product and standard names are trademarks of their respective owners and are referenced only to describe compatibility. CADKeeper is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them.

Termination#

We may suspend or terminate your license if you materially breach these terms (for example, by tampering with the licensing system or reselling keys). You may stop using CADKeeper at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including the disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — survive.

Governing law#

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of CADKeeper will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
