Refund Policy
Try before you pay: the Free tier gives you the full workflow on a real folder (capped at 10 files per run), so you can confirm CADKeeper works before buying. If you do buy Core and it isn't right for you, getting your money back is simple.
Who we are
CADKeeper is operated by Trelawny Enterprises LLC (d/b/a CAD Keeper). At launch, purchases are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record — your purchase is a contract with Paddle under Paddle's Buyer Terms, and refunds are issued through Paddle under those terms and Paddle's Refund Policy. Charges appear on your card or bank statement as a payment to Paddle (typically shown as “PADDLE.NET” or “Paddle.com”), not to CADKeeper or Trelawny Enterprises. This page describes how we apply our own, more generous stance on top of that. Where our policy would give you fewer rights than Paddle's terms or your local consumer law, the higher rights always apply.
Core: 14-day money-back guarantee
Core is a one-time purchase. If you buy Core and decide within 14 days that it isn't for you — for any reason — email email support and we'll refund your payment in full. No forms, no explanations required. Because the Free tier already lets you evaluate the full workflow before paying, we keep this window simple and honor it generously.
Pro: cancel anytime
Pro is a recurring subscription whose first year ($200) includes a perpetual Core license (existing Core owners can instead add Pro at the $99/year renewal price). You can cancel at any time and keep full Pro access through the end of the period you've already paid for; at the end of that period you revert to Core, which you own outright, and are not charged again. We do not prorate or refund partial subscription periods. Cancelling stops future charges — it does not by itself trigger a refund.
If you were charged for a Pro renewal you didn't intend and reach out promptly, contact us — we review these case by case and aim to be fair.
What a refund means for your license
Cancelling and refunding are different things. Cancelling Pro drops you to Core at the end of the period you paid for — you keep the perpetual Core license that came with your first year. A full refund is the other case: it ends your right to use the paid tiers entirely, including any Core license bundled with a refunded Pro purchase.
When we issue a full refund we revoke the license key. The app checks in with our license server periodically — Pro often, Core at most about once a week — and returns to the Free tier at its next check-in. Free is a genuinely useful product, so nothing you've done is lost: your change log, your rulesets, and your history all stay exactly where they are, and the apply operation is simply capped at 10 files per run again.
If the machine can't reach us — it's air-gapped, or offline for a long stretch — that check-in can't happen, so we ask you to do it: after taking a refund, please stop using the paid tiers and remove the license from your devices (in the app: gear icon → License → Deactivate this device). We'd rather say that plainly than pretend to an automatic enforcement we don't have.
How to request a refund
Email email support from the address you used at checkout, or simply reply to your Paddle receipt. Put “Refund request” in the subject. You can also request a refund yourself, directly through Paddle, using the View receipt link in your Paddle confirmation email. We approve eligible requests within 5 business days; Paddle then processes the refund to your original payment method, which can take up to a further 14 days to appear depending on your bank.
Exceptions
We reserve the right to decline refunds in cases of abuse (for example, repeated buy-and-refund cycles). In practice we apply this policy generously. This policy does not limit any statutory refund or withdrawal rights you may have under the consumer law of your country.
